In 1995 a knowledgable, cheerful meteorologist named Bob Maxon arrived on the Connecticut morning news scene. Fortunately, he’s stayed where he started, at NBC CT, and for 30 years.
He began his broadcasting career in Ithaca at Cable News Center 7 alongside Karl Ravech of ESPN. Then it was on to Binghamton, NY for a year. His first “real” job was at the storied WMUR-TV in Manchester NH, which was his first time on mornings (1989-1995). So it’s been 36 years of early morning wake ups for Bob.

Morning news anchors have come and gone but Bob has been the constant. He’s a Cornell-trained meteorologist but so much more: Charity emcee, husband, father, golfer (in no particular order). For a nice read about Bob’s life and career, see this profile in Valley Life Extra.
Cheers to a great guy.
