As Laurel readers know, the president of the United States has denied White House access to three major news outlets; CNN MS NOW and Politico.
Monday, the feud escalated with the three news organizations filing a joint lawsuit claiming they have been denied due process and their First Amendment rights are being threatened by a president who is trying to dictate the tenor of the news coverage he receives.
It appears the president has no chance to win this legal battle, but it also appears he is not backing down. In solidarity, most of the major television networks have refused to take part in White House pool coverage until the matter is resolved in favor of the White House press.
