Could a “kill switch” help stop a rogue AI program before it causes real damage? Rep. Joe Courtney (D-2nd District) says lawmakers are already working on proposals to put new safeguards on artificial intelligence, including a way to shut down AI systems that go wrong.

People in Connecticut may see double-digit increases in their health insurance premiums next year. Sen. Jeff Gordon (R-Woodstock), a doctor, says the state’s rate approval system is “off the rails” and argues consumers need a bigger voice.
