Long time Connecticut public relations advisor and journalist Anita Ford Saunders(D) is reportedly ready to run for a seat in the state Senate as a Democrat representing Middletown. She is an active charter school advocate which is a key tenet of her challenge to Lesser.
According to Kevin Rennie’s Daily Ructions blog, Ford Saunders has filed paperwork to challenge incumbent Matt Lesser(D). The first test will be a nominating convention in May followed by a potential August primary.
In addition to her multiple roles in the field of public relations, Ford Saunders worked previously at CPTV, WFSB and WVIT.
