Another legacy newspaper could be going out of business by the end of the year.
The owners of The Toledo Blade are seeking buyers for the paper’s assets. If the print and digital assets of The Blade can not be sold by the end of the year, publication of the paper will cease on December 31.
The paper has been owned by the Block family since 1926. A spokesman for the company says the paper’s annual losses are no longer sustainable. The Blade is the oldest continuously operating business in Toledo.
