Brad's Tin Anniversary

So we looked up what you’re supposed to give someone on their 10th anniversary, and the tradition is “aluminum or tin”. Instead we think we’ll just congratulate Brad Drazen, morning anchor at NBC Connecticut, and one of the best guys in the business.
Brad started at WVIT-TV in 2000 as the weekday morning reporter back in the Natalie Morales.Logan Byrnes era. After 2-1/2 years he moved to dayside reporting, then became weekend morning anchor. After 4 years working weekends he moved to weekday mornings in 2007. During that time he was the Executive Producer, wrtier and host of about 20 specials under the “Connecticut Discoveries” and “Destination Education” brands (and won awards in the process).
Brad is a man of many talents. Every once in a while, someone in the NBC 30 newsroom will cue up the episode of “ER” in which he had a speaking part (brief, but memorable!) and he’s arguably the best golfer among the CT on-air press corps (sorry Gerry, Tom and Bob).
Congrats, Brad.

  1. Having worked with Jim, Gerry, Tom, Bob and with both Brads, I can say without a doubt that Drazen is the nicest guy in Connecticut media. Gerry wouldn’t want the title, anyway, and the other guys are almost as nice. But Brad is the real deal, and I am still taking lessons from him on being a true mensch and a better dad, all these years later. Congrats, Mr. Drazen!
