The universally well-respected Sue Haigh of the AP, a state Capitol mainstay, posted on social media that she has taken a buyout. Thank you, Sue, for all the years of excellent work.
“Hi all – After many years with The Associated Press, I made the difficult decision to take a buyout due to ongoing changes at the company and across the industry. AP approved it today. My last day is Thursday. This wasn’t an easy choice but it was the right one for personal reasons. I’m proud of the work I’ve done and grateful for the talented colleagues, sources and experiences that shaped my career there. But I’m not done yet.
