Comptroller Sean Scanlon (D) explains the inspiration behind the new CT Citizens Assembly, where regular people are being asked to help come up with solutions to the state’s high property tax problem. Participants will even get paid.

Local towns and cities are waiting for the state budget process to finish to see how much aid they can count on in their own budgets. They are already getting an extra boost for education. Joe DeLong, CEO and Exec. Director of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM), looks at the impact of the additional money.
