One of the few former CBS News employees who can claim a connection with the early pioneers of broadcast journalism at the network is Dan Rather.
Rather, who rose to become the anchor of the CBS Evening News, shared his reflections on the end of CBS Radio over the weekend on his Substack page. The radio correspondents of CBS News were his inspiration while growing up in Texas and later became his colleagues.
