Two years ago we reported that Dennis Schain had retired from his post as spokesman for Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Retirement didn’t last long; last night Dennis won a spot on the Manchester Board of Directors (translation: town council).
Dennis began as a reporter working for the Bridgeport Post-Telegram, the Hartford Times and the Journal Inquirer before turning to the field of public relations. Before DEEP, he worked briefly in the office of former Governor Jodi Rell on her communications staff.
As our colleauge Dean Pagani wrote two years ago, Dennis has “firmly secured a reputation as an all around good guy.” We concur. And while we’re not sure whether congratulations or condolences are in order, we’re happy for him!
