Three Connecticut journalists have been named to the Poynter-Koch Media and Journalism Fellowship.
The program will pay 60% of their salaries in either new or existing roles for the next year. The fellowship is designed to help early career journalists. In all, sixty-one people have been named to the program. The Connecticut fellows are:
- Crystal Elescano, Latino Lab reporter, Record-Journal (Meriden, Connecticut)
- Eda Uzunlar, reporter, WSHU Public Radio (Westport, Connecticut)
- José Luis MartÃnez, data reporter, The (Hartford) Connecticut Mirror
