It’s been a notable year for Dave Altimari. In early May, he won a Pulitzer as part of a team from CT Mirror and ProPublica. Now he’s taking a new job with the CT Examiner.
Dave began his career at the Old Saybrook Pictorial and then spent more than a decade at the New Haven Register. As with so many other great reporters in this state, Dave spent the bulk of his career at the Hartford Courant (22 years). He moved to the Mirror in 2021.
Examiner Editor-in-Chief Gregory Stroud says that as a result of Dave’s hiring, the Examiner will have a significantly stronger focus on investigative reporting.
