While we’re waiting to find out whether the governor and the legislature will act on a proposed gas tax rebate, Rep. Joe Gresko (D-Stratford) lays out some other options that could be on the table to save residents money. Plus when it comes to lowering energy costs long-term, he’s encouraging the state to consider a different kind of solar.
Since the bankruptcy of Prospect Medical Holdings nearly led to the closures of three hospitals, some state lawmakers have suggested banning private equity from hospital ownership. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut) is now taking up legislation at the federal level to limit private equity’s role in healthcare.
