AM 1220 WQUN, Quinnipiac University’s commercial radio station, has signed a new two-year agreement with Entercom’s WRKO Red Sox Radio Network to continue broadcasting Boston Red Sox games.
“We’re happy to announce this contract extension because WQUN has become recognized throughout southern Connecticut as the source for Boston Red Sox information,” said WQUN’s general manager, Ray Andrewsen.
The station has been broadcasting Red Sox games since 2004 and will air the pre and post-game shows and all 162 regular season and post-season games. The games will once again be called by legendary broadcaster Joe Castiglione, a Hamden native.
