We heard that WFSB meteorologist Scot Haney, who also co-hosts “Better Connecticut”, had signed a long-term contract with the station (not a frequent occurence these days) and apparently it’ss true. Scot has signed on for five more years — his longest contract to date: a sure sign that managment wants him to stick around.

From Scot:

My partner Paul and I would drive by the Hartford skyline on our way back to NYC after visiting his parents in Manchester.  I would say to Paul, “can you imagine working in a city as big as Hartford one day?”  Dreams do come true!  Here’s to five more years working for the best station in the state, and in the country!

This is great news for not only Scot’s fans, but the numerous non-profits to which he devotes endless amounts of time.
