Veteran broadcaster Bill Kurtis is stepping down as the announcer for the NPR quiz show – Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.
After a long career in television journalism, Kurtis took over the light announcing job twelve years ago. Now age 85, Kurtis says he has mixed feelings about stepping away from the microphone.
This Saturday’s show will be his last regular appearance.
