Chuck Carter, who has been the news director at WTNH-News 8 in New Haven for more than seven years, will be taking over as ND with WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The move comes a few months after we reported the promotion of Nicole Warren to the newly created position of “director of content – digital and linear operations.” We are told the station is currently searching for an assistant news director with Warren filling the top newsroom role.
In 2022, Carter was named to the Silver Circle of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the New England region. His more than twenty-five years in the business includes three stops at WTNH.
