"The Trouble Begins at 5:30"

Hartford’s Mark Twain House is launching a series of after-work talks on Twain-related topics which highlight fascinating aspects of Twain’s life and that of his family. Hartford Courant columnist Susan Campbell who, like Twain, hails from Missouri, will speak on “God, Missouri, Fundamentalism and Mark Twain” on Wedneday, May 26 at 5:30 pm. The lectures take place at the Mark Twain Museum Center in Hartford and are free and open to the public.

Other programs include:

May 19th, 5:30 pm: “Mark Twain’s Music Box” – Dr. Kerry Driscoll discusses the Twain family’s European “shopping spree of epic proportions.”

June 2,  5:30 pm: “Mark Twain’s Women” – Chief Curator Patti Philippon on the many women who surrounded Twain.
