Mike Hydeck has a one-on-one interview with Gov. Ned Lamont. During a train ride from Hartford to Meriden, they covered a wide range of topics including the governor’s priorities for 2024, what’s next for electric vehicles since his mandate failed, and how he wants to tackle affordable housing and childcare.

Sen. Norm Needleman (D-Essex) joins Mike with his response to a statement that Connecticut is one of the worst places in the country to invest in utilities. They also discuss changes to the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) and implementing performance based regulations.

Jolie Sherman reports on the death of a CT woman who was a strong advocate for medical aid in dying. While it still is not allowed in Connecticut, Lynda Bluestein became the first non-resident to use Vermont’s medical aid in drying law.
