Face the Facts WVIT 10 a.m.

Host: Max Reiss

Face the Facts with Max Reiss is talking about the state budget and a landmark lawsuit brought by families of victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Speaker of the House Rep. Joe Aresimowicz (D-Berlin) discusses the budget issues that emerged last week. He explains why the tax increases are necessary and why cutting spending is difficult to do. He also addresses the proposed reach for control of the bond commission from Gov. Ned Lamont.

Former Assistant US Attorney Chris Mattei joins Face the Facts to discuss a lawsuit against Infowars host Alex Jones. Jones has peddled outlandish and vile conspiracy theories about the shooting at Sandy Hook, and Mattei is one of the attorneys looking to hold him accountable for his statements.

The show also looks at Massachusetts’ policies when it comes to tolls that Connecticut will have to consider as tolls continue to be discussed.
