Terms weren’t disclosed in the settlement of the Journal Inquirer’s federal lawsuit accusing the Courant of plagiarizing the JI’s local news stories in the Courant’s print editions and copying other JI stories for use on the Courant’s Internet site in 2009. (Truth be told, we mostly plagiarized the previous sentence.)  Here’s the Journal Inquirer’s take and here’s the Courant’s.

  1. Last night I posted, as Robert, yet saw that the coemmnt was unapproved.’ So, thinking that my coemmnt was taken in a hostile light, I posted as Higgins with something that might not have been taken as such. This morning I saw both posting approved and it was simpler to keep the two lines of conversation open rather than blend them as one. I kept the same email, and web address so there would be no confusion as to who I am.I am Robert Higgins, owner of MuzzleFront and looking forward to hearing and taking part in your discussion next Wednesday. Most folks that know me, call me Higgins. Feel free to delete this without posting.
