A group of Democratic U.S. Senators, including Senator Richard Blumenthal, is calling on the Senate Commerce and Judiciary committees to look into the possible sale of Tribune Media television stations to the Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Tribune Media owns Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut. Sinclair, one of the largest television station ownership groups in the country, is known for requiring its stations to broadcast right leaning political programming.
