We’re sorry to hear about a rift among the major national minority journalist groups. According to a New York Times story, the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is no longer affiliated with the “Unity: Journalists of Color” coalition (which includes the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, the Asian American Journalists Association and the Native American Journalists Association).

According to The Times,

a debate erupted between board members from NABJ and Unity over how much revenue NABJ and other member organizations should received as a result of the conference.

Update: NABJ votes to “seek to re-unify” with Unity
