Although neither he nor the station has confirmed his departure on the record, it appears that Mark Zinni is in fact no longer with WFSB.
As one of the station’s primary anchors, his absence was noted almost immediately after his last broadcast earlier this month. Based on his social media feed(notably Facebook) it seems he is not returning to what used to be known as “channel 3” on your VHF dial(channel changer).
Close to 700 people have sent Zinni messages of support in recent weeks. In almost every case those posting make reference to his departure or how much he will be missed. Zinni has only obliquely responded to the well wishes which suggests he is no longer with the station and he sees no need to correct anyone who has reached that conclusion.
