We read this analysis of the Democratic gubernatorial primary by Colin McEnroe (WNPR, The Hartford Courant) ten days ago and thought it made a lot of sense. Turns out he was right.
What may help Malloy more is the placement of the primary on August 10, not a primo voting time. In a low turnout election, small groups of dependable voters become important. It becomes a battle of lists. Malloy has strong union support, and unions, at least theoretically, are really good at getting bodies to the polls to do what they’re supposed to do.
