In the late 1990s, NBC Connecticut’s then-News Director Liz Grey Godbout hired a young woman named Natalie Morales to anchor the weekend evening newscasts. Fast-forward to today and Natalie has been named permanent “news reader” on The Today Show. She replaces Ann Curry who will get Meredith Vieira’s seat on the couch; Vieira has decided to leave the show in June. Hey Liz, good hire.
