Even in today’s internet age it sometimes takes days for news from Vermont to reach us here in Connecticut. And so it is with the story of former NBC CT meteorologist Tyler Jankoski, who is originally from Bristol, Connecticut.
When the pony express rider arrived Wednesday afternoon at Pulaski Circle in downtown Hartford, we got word that Jankoski has been promoted to chief meteorologist at NBC 5 in Burlington, Vermont.
Jankoski has big shoes to fill in the world of Vermont television. He is replacing Tom Messner who recently announced his retirement after 31 years.
