David DesRoches, the Assistant Editor at the Darien Times, has been named the New England Newspaper and Press Association’s reporter of the year. A native of central Virginia, DesRoches, 34, lives in Bridgeport. This is the first time that a reporter for Hersam Acorn Newspapers has received this prestigious award.
