Fox CT

According to a source at Fox CT and an online broadcast lineup, the station’s local interview programs “The Real Story” and “The Stan Simpson Show” have lost their slots during the prime Sunday morning public affairs show hours and been relegated to the early-bird hours. “The Real Story,” hosted by FoxCT reporter Laurie Perez, has been airing at 10:30 am; it was preceded by “The Stan Simpson Show,” featuring the former Hartford Courant columnist. Stan’ s show will now air Saturdays at 6:30 am and Laurie’s on Sunday at 6:30 am.

While we’re disappointed, we’re not surprised. We feel badly for Laurie and Stan as it takes a lot of time and effort to produce those shows. And in case you’re wondering, the programs will be replaced by the “TV-G” rated shows “Awesome Adventures” and “Wild About  Animals”.

  1. I’m pleased with Fox CT’s on-going commitment to covering political news by producing and broadcasting The Real Story. Not only does the show now serve as the lead-in to our highly promoted Sunday morning news program, but it also is re-broadcast and available to all on Connecticut’s most visited website, http://www.ctnow.com. You can also see it on CT-N Sunday nights at 8:30. This multi-media approach serves our viewers well on many different fronts, and I’m looking forward to a bright future as host of The Real Story.

  2. If you squirt lemon juice on Laurie’s comment above, the following message mysteriously appears:

Help, I am trapped inside Fox61. My bosses are making me write that this is a good thing, but of course it isn’t – Fox CT’s “ongoing commitment to covering political news by producing and broadcasting The Real Story” consists of putting it on when only insomniacs and tweakers are awake and replacing it with a cartoon.

Some please get me out of here!

  3. We love Laurie because she is the most fair and balanced of the hosts and asks her guests questions that really matter. Tom Rowland Rell Monahan and Dennis Olbermann Blumenthal House used their shows to promote their political parties.
