After 18 ½ years, Noah Finz and WTNH have separated. The station’s sports director and anchor said his contract was up at the end of December with the New Haven ABC news affiliate and he is pursuing an “exciting, new project,” which he hopes to announce in the coming weeks.
“I’m very proud of what we accomplished at WTNH, bringing nearly two decades of the zeitgeist of local sports into Connecticut homes,” he said. “But the news industry and its sports model is changing. That’s why the timing of this is so perfect. As WTNH is scaling down its sports coverage, this new project will allow me to give viewers even more.”
