Facing the Situation

At first we were pleased to see the following tweet today from Bob Schieffer, host of CBS’s Face the Nation:
Couldn’t be happier to break the news today that @FaceTheNation is going to a full hour starting in April. Thanks for watching!
But in this market, Face the Nation airs from 10:30 am to 11 am on WFSB and is followed by the local interview program Face the State at 11 am. If the national broadcast extends an hour longer, how does that affect Dennis House’s show?
Editor’s note: WFSB’s General Manager has said that “Face the State” will continue to occupy the 11-11:30 am time slot. Perhaps this means WFSB will carry only the first half of Face the Nation?

  1. I was watching Dennis interview the Head of Northeast Utilities and wondering “Dennis why don’t you ask him tougher questions?”

Maybe WFSB will place it at 11:30 and put Susan Raff in there.

And I love Richard Gordon’s answer about building Hartford up again.

Channel 3 is now in Rocky Hill , there is a hole were it used to be 🙂

    Nice zinger

  2. As a root canal expert now — to my chrigan — I can say without a doubt that seeing a presidential candidate is far better. While Hillary is unlikely to say anything new today – they try not to do that, after all – it’s fascinating to see all the hoopla associated with a big-time campaign. As a political junkie, I look back fondly on the times I saw or spoke with Bob Dole, Ted Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Howard Dean, Mo Udall, etc. It’s just something out of the ordinary.I strongly recommend that if you get the chance to see one of the candidates — from either party — that you do it.
