What do Paul Newman and Huma Abedin have in common? They want(ed) to tell their own stories. First Newman.

The accomplished actor and former Connecticut resident died 14 years ago, but left behind hours of personal recordings and transcripts that he hoped would be used to write an authorized biography of his life. The tapes and transcripts are being edited and published by Knopf. The final product will be out next fall.

…and in the realm of two people you never would think would be paired together…

You may have noticed Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin is out with a new book and is in the middle of book tour which requires her to do something she has never done before: Sit for media interviews.

The striking and always stylish Abedin has made a career of being the person always behind the camera and away from the spotlight. She is not known to be a political operative who spends her spare time offering commentary on cable news outlets. In the interviews she has given so far she has explained her motivation for writing the book was the need to tell her own complicated life story in her own way – not leaving it to others.
