The 2-day Special Session comes to an end at the State Capitol. Lawmakers pass a new affordable housing bill, however many Republicans still have reservations about how local zoning issues will be impacted by the new legislation.
Both chambers also approved a $500 million dollar contingency fund that’s designed to provide a backstop should federal funding dry-up for essential programs here in Connecticut.
The panel will also discuss UConn Health’s acquisition of beleagured Waterbury Hospital, which will expand the footprint of the state’s only public academic health system. Lawmakers approving $390M in new bonds for the purchase
