The Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation, created in honor of the beloved late WFSB anchor Denise D’Ascenzo, held its 3rd annual golf tournament at Wethersfield Country Club. This year marked record attendance and money raised. Various meteorologists brought best-day-of-the-year weather and news personnel from the four Hartford/New Haven market stations participated.
On Saturday, November 15 at 5:30pm, the foundation’s 2025 Human Spirit Awards Dinner will take place at the Hartford Downtown Marriott. Among this year’s honorees is Ted Kennedy, Jr., disability rights advocate and former Connecticut state senator. More information is here.
