Long time New York Yankees broadcaster John Sterling died this week at the age of 87.
He started with the team in 1989 as a pre-game host and went on to do play by play. He was part of the Yankees broadcast for more than 5,500 games over the course of his career.
Connecticut sportscaster, play by play man, and baseball aficionado Dan Lovallo puts Sterling on his personal Mount Rushmore of Yankees broadcasters.
