Irene Mahoney-Paige, who spent three years as an executive producer at FoxCT, has been ousted from WLNE in Providence after serving just four months as news director. At FoxCT Irene was part of the team that lead the transition from analog to HD.
According to the station’s general manager, the November ratings did not meet the station’s expectations. WLNE is now looking for a a news director with “enough experience” to make the news department “competitive and relevant in the market.”
