Former Hartford Courant and Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Helen Ubiñas is launching a newsletter on the Beehiiv platform under her well known brand “Notes from Hel.”
She is promising to use her new forum to cover national news, the local impact of national news and at times the news business itself. The decision to launch an independent newsletter comes about a year after she left daily journalism. Her first post says she will continue her work from Philadelphia.
