As the CT TV stations scrambled to cover the Hayes verdict in the Cheshire home invasion trial, FoxCT stood out, buttressed by the Hartford Courant reporters working with them. As we understand it, the station had at least 3 reporters inside the courtroom tweeting and those tweets were on the screen while the verdicts were being read inside.
I wanted to follow the news on the trial while at work and I looked at all the various news websites and found that NBC30 had the best access. I was able to follow their tweets live right from the front page of their web site. Diana Perez did an outstanding job of tweeting
I followed several and in the end zero’d in on Helen Urbinas. She made me feel like I was sitting in the court room & there were times she made me glad I wasn’t in the court room. I related so many times to what she wrote. It was an experience I’ll never forget, following this trial. God bless Dr. Petit and the Petit and Hawke families.
