The Important Stuff

We at The Laurel may try to advance the debate over journalistic standards, but there’s no doubt that we can be superficial too. It’s in that spirit that we note the new hair color of WTNH traffic reporter Teresa Labarbara, formerly of  WFSB, who started today at her new station. It’s kind of “Katy Perry black”.

Okay, back to reading WiKiLeak stories…

  1. I am tired of the Teresa nonsense!! The morning news on WFSB has settled down and is no longer a three ring circus since her departure. Hopefully Channel 8 will hire someone to help her with her wardrobe! She looked horrible on her debut this morning.

  2. Shame on you, above, for having nothing better to do than trash this poor girl.

Since you’re obviously out of the loop and just jealous, you don’t realize this is BIG NEWS for New Haven and the Connecticut TV market as a whole.

A new traffic girl coming to one of the bastions of broadcasting is, indeed, a major event, as it impacts millions of working people’s mornings and attitudes. It is the dawning of a new era, a new cultural wave, if you will, for the people of Connecticut.

Ms. Labarbra is a star, a role model for today’s liberated, intelligent and educated women, and will be a household name in homes, schools, on campuses, and among the literati of New Haven in no time. She will be among the 3 most in-demand and expensive celebrities for personal appearances and various local endorsements and philanthropic events.

I wish her nothing but the very best as she delivers valuable information about that accident taking out two lanes on I-95 northbound, and thank her in advance for her contribution to New Haven and CT shoreline culture.
