Some mornings when we pick up the Hartford Courant we see an ad in which perpetual game show host Chuck Woolery is holding a fan of cash….and Fox CT anchor Sarah French is doing the same. Always seemed weird to us, and NBC Connecticut’s Gerry Brooks puts it into words.
What did you expect? Fox will do anything for ratings.

…and that’s why I’m holding a wad of cash in a newspaper ad.
Gerry, I think you have forgotten that your station started this contest thing years ago and you had no problem with it. You couldn’t even identify Sarah in your rant, is that because you are so upset that she and Fox are taking ratings from NBC30? Why don’t you criticize Rachel? It is time to take your two viewers and retire. Sarah, Rachel and this team are the future. Oh, thanks for subscribing to the print version of Fox CT and helping pay our salaries.
Gee, wasn’t Fox61 4th in the ratings last time around?
I think it’s too bad people have to critcize Sarah French. She always does a great job delivering the news and is very pleasant on air. I don’t know what the rating are, but I do know, since Sarah joined the Fox morning team, that’s been my channel of choice.
Broadstreeter, take a Valium and reread the post. It’s no rant. And I didn’t name her out of courtesy. But the bottom line is, she should have said, “No, I won’t do that.” Or someone should have said it for her.
People should take a look at Meredith Vieira, she is in several photos promoting, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. There aren’t much more high profile people than her. She interviews the most important people in the world , then goes on to host a game show.
