In light of recent controversy surrounding the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, Sen. Jeff Gordon (R-Woodstock) says the legislature should be looking at an overhaul of. For the first time, PURA will have five commissioners, and Gordon sees it as an opportunity to reshape the regulator.

Congress may not be in session, but Rep. Jim Himes (D-4th District) is keeping busy during the government shutdown. He updates us on negotiations to reopen the government and gives us his take on recent strikes on suspected drug vessels in the Caribbean, and the President’s deal with China.
