The Day of New London is a paper that has always punched above its weight.

To call it the Hartford Courant of southeastern Connecticut is selling it short. It feels and reads more like the New York Times of southeastern Connecticut. It is blue collar, salt air, and open minded.

For 22 years, former columnist Steve Slosberg is one of the writers who made the Day the paper that it was and still is. Now writing for the Westerly Sun, Slosberg has put together a self-published book of 46 of his best columns. The book is titled “Columnist – 45 Years of Having a Say.”

December 12 he’ll have a book signing at Bank Square Books in Mystic.
