State Rep. Derek Slap (D-West Hartford) may be a candidate for the State Senate and have a brand new statewide non-profit job but he’ll always be a former NBC CT anchor/reporter to us.
The Connecticut Technology Council has named Derek its President and CEO. The CTC is the association for technology-oriented companies and institutions; its job is to “bolster Connecticut’s technology ecosystem by providing leadership, support, mentoring, and advocacy to companies at every stage of growth.”
Derek was previously VP of marketing and communications at the UConn Foundation and is a lecturer at Yale. He replaces Bruce Carlson who’s stepping down after 5 years at the CTC.
