Quinnipiac University has awarded its 18th annual Fred Friendly First Amendment Award to famed ‘Frontline’ producer David Fanning. The award honors journalists who have fought to preserve basic constitutional rights.
Past award recipients include Peter Jennings, Ted Koppel, Tim Russert, Morley Safer, Lesley Stahl, Gwen Ifill and Jim Lehrer.
