Bob Ley, who has been with ESPN in Bristol since 1979, just signed a new long term contract with the network.

The news was announced the same day Ley was on air to break the news about the resignation of Sepp Blatter as the head of FIFA.

“I am thrilled that Bob Ley will continue at ESPN — for the past 35 years he has set the standard for sports journalism and we and fans have been the beneficiary,” said ESPN President John Skipper.
