According to the UConn Daily Campus, a new radio station is under development in the Mansfield area that, if it goes on the air in the next few years, will be hyper-focused on local news, weather, and community.
WHKA will broadcast at 87.7FM and operate as a non-profit station. The station’s backers see the audience as Mansfield, Chaplin and Willington with a heavy emphasis on the University of Connecticut at Storrs.
