As we previously reported, the large number of ‘weekend’ and ‘part time’ jobs listed on the FOX CT website was because of the incoming FOX CT weekend morning newscast.
The Courant’s Mary Ellen Fillo has the scoop on the new hires – Audrey Kuchen has been named anchor and Dan Amarante will join the team as meteorologist for the morning newscasts that will air from 7 to 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. We’re told that Dan is the son of Joe Amarante, the New Haven Register’s longtime media reporter/columnist.
The new show begins January 22nd.
