Nancy Meyer is the new Publisher of the Hartford Courant, replacing Rich Graziano. The question remains as to who will be General Manager of the Courant’s partner TV station, Fox CT.

All-Employee memo at Hartford Courant/Fox CT:

We want to inform you of several changes in management within the Hartford CT1 organization as a result of Rich Graziano’s move to become the President / General Manager of WPIX, NY.

Rich has led the transformation of two separate business units into an integrated media company. CT1 has been at the forefront of the integration of news, sales and operations functions across two distinct publishing and broadcasting companies. Under Rich’s leadership, ratings and readership have increased; financial performance has improved significantly; and breakthroughs in multi-media innovation have been successfully implemented.

We appreciate and will miss Rich’s leadership. His passion, commitment and dedication have made a big difference in Connecticut. Those same qualities will suit him well in his new role in New York City. In the near term, Rich will maintain responsibility for the day to day operations of WTIC and WCCT until a new General Manager is selected.

On the Publishing front,  effective immediately, Nancy Meyer will become Publisher of the Hartford Courant.

Nancy is an accomplished executive with a proven record of delivering results. Nancy has been in her current role as Chief Revenue Officer of Advertising at CT1 Media since June of this year. She has led the Advertising function for the Courant and has also been responsible for the Targeted Media products. Nancy’s leadership capabilities, sales experience and understanding of the importance of top notch journalism will position her well in this key role.

Nancy and Rich will continue to operate in a very collaborative fashion to capitalize on the value created through the synergistic operation of the Hartford business units. Nancy will report to Tony Hunter. We look forward to maintaining the innovative, multi-media go to market strategy created by the team in Hartford.
