Eva Zymaris. The Syracuse University graduate is joining WFSB as a general assignment reporter. She’s a native of New Jersey and interned at the Today Show while in college.

Chris Flanagan. The Stamford, Connecticut native is joining Fox 25 in Boston as a weekend evening news anchor. The graduate of Southern Connecticut State University has been a weekday anchor in Cleveland since 2011.

Gretchen Carlson. The Greenwich resident and former Fox News anchor is proving her tenacity in her sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News boss Roger Ailes. The network is trying to move the lawsuit to the New York jurisdiction and trying to force the case to secret arbitration. But Carlson, realizing her best weapon in this fight is the threat of public embarrassment, has filed a motion that insists the case remain in the public eye.

Politico. The leading Washington, D.C. news website, with more than a few Connecticut connections, is the subject of a long feature in Washingtonian describing the break-up of the founding management team. Two Politico pioneers(there from the beginning), are former New York Times Connecticut reporter Mike Allen -who is leaving after the election and former Hartford Courant reporter Carrie Budoff Brown who will take over as editor – also after the election.
