The change continues at MSNBC with word on new schedule changes during the daytime.

One big change will give Connecticut resident Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski(formerly of WFSB and Fox CT) an extra hour of air time. It looks like Morning Joe is expanding to 10a.m. each day – which makes sense given the political year ahead.

Kate Snow.

Another unexpected change is the use of NBC News reporter Kate Snow to anchor the 3p.m. to 5p.m. block. Earlier reports had suggested Brian Williams would be a heavy presence during afternoons but it now appears he is being reserved as a strictly breaking news anchor.

There are hints other changes may be coming to evenings at MSNBC. You may remember that Williams anchored a 9p.m. national newscast on the network before taking over the Nightly News anchor desk. Proponents of a national mid-evening newscast might like to see Williams return to that role at 8, 9 or 10. The National!
